We have to admit the first year was scary but with the help of our 11 new agents the first year we sufficed. Still in our second year of business we have grown more by adding 6 more agents and several more are coming in the next two months. Not that we do not struggle at times in this economy but I believe everyone has. We admit we could not have done this without the excellent agents that have come to our company as well as the clients that have entrusted us to handle the sale of their properties.
With the help of these agents we have grown to #2 in listings in the Huntington Multiple Listing Service. Being #2 in one and half years when a lot of other companies are cutting back and laying off people says a lot about our team of agents. I am from Lavalette and wanted to give back to my community. April 2009 we opened a second office in Lavalette on our 1st year anniversary. Our agents call this our OW (Out Wayne) office. We are #1 in Wayne County listings and did this in just a few short months. We volunteer and sponsor many events and organizations in the area and I proudly work in this office daily.
Once again, Open Sky Real Estate is growing again. We plan to open an office in Kentucky this year. We started recruiting agents in the area last year and expect to open an office by the end of the year. We are excited about expanding in the UK market.
Sheila and I wanted our company to offer what others did not. Most importantly we wanted to offer a family atmosphere. Both our offices have a “cozy home” feel and so will our Kentucky office.
